Just learned gifted kids are more prone to have an existential crisis. Because they think a lot and are capable of high-level analysis, they can start to reconsider everything. Then they look at the world and their role in it and are intelligent enough to realize they play a very small role and BOOM. Existential depression. Someone should have taught me not to so that back in gifted ed classes…
